Similarities and differences between Bosch 3000 and 6000
Both Bosch 3000 and 6000 alarm systems have built-in diallers and are able to connect to your phone line. The Bosch 6000 has the ability to send you an SMS which includes zone information if your alarm is triggered.
The Bosch 3000 is only able to send dialling signals to you which means that when you answer your phone, you will hear an alarm noise to indicate that your alarm has been triggered.
Aside the built-in diallers, both the Bosch 6000 and 3000 are able to have an IP module to connect to the alarm panel for back to base monitoring or self monitoring via your smartphone.
The Bosch 6000supports a wifi (wireless) keypad which removes the need to run a cable to the router, hence reducing installation costs. The Bosch 3000 however , does not support an option to add a wifi keypad and only the hard wired icon or TouchOne keypads. can be used with this system. The Bosch 3000 panel also requires the IP module to have a static IP address, where the 6000 does not.
